NZD/USD steadies above 0.77, looking for fresh directions

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The New Zealand dollar halted its long run of decline against the US counterpart in the Asian morning, and trades flat consolidating above 0.77 handle.

Currently, the NZD/USD traded unchanged at 0.7723 levels, having previously posted intraday low at 0.7706 levels. The NZD/USD pair took a breather from its downside momentum and remained unmoved by an upbeat Australian jobs data and a lacklustre NZ House Price Index data released a while ago.

The NZD/USD pair seems to be looking for fresh cues from a slew of US economic releases due later today for further directions on the commodity currency.
