ECB's Hansson: QE should be explored as an option
FXStreet (Barcelona) - The head of the Estonian central bank and the ECB Governing Council member Ardo Hansson said on Wednesday that quantitative easing should be considered as an option and kept “on shelf for possible use.”
All measures which could be used in the future should be advanced in their technical preparation, the ECB policymaker stressed, although the package introduced by the central bank last week is already substantial.
Hansson also said that Estonia's long-term GDP growth potential was still projected at 3-4%.
