USD/CAD falls to 9-day low
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The USD/CAD has printed a lower low Wednesday as failure to recover above 1.0900 put the pair under renewed pressure.
The USD/CAD broke below the 1.0880 area and accelerated the decline to a fresh 9-day low of 1.0869 in recent dealings. No top-tier data out of Canada or the US is scheduled to guide investors during the New York session today but tomorrow it might pick up a bit with a press conference from BoC Poloz and US retail sales.
USD/CAD technical levels
At time of writing, the USD/CAD is trading at the 1.0870 zone, recording a 0.29% loss on the day with immediate supports lining up at 1.0838 (Jun 2 low), 1.0813 (May 8 low) and 1.0800 (psychological level). On the flip side, resistances are seen at 1.0900 (psychological level), 1.0920 (Jun 10 high) and 1.0930 (50-day SMA).
